It’s been over 4 years since GM Lighting launched its flexible LED sheet, Lamina. Shortly after launch, we received a video from a lighting contractor in Brooklyn, NY. The video demonstrated a unique bathroom make over. It was not your ordinary run-of-the-mill change out of decor, install a new shower and call it a day type of video. We’ve all seen those. This one was different. It showed a team of diligent craftspeople cutting, shaping and installing Lamina as the backlight for custom cut marble-textured acrylic veneers that provided a sensual surrounding of light, texture and ambience. This video was not just an installation video – it was a master class in lighting design, and at the forefront of the design was Lamina.
